My name is Catharina and since 2023 I have been working in Zona Norte, a neighborhood in Tijuana, a city in Mexico on the border with the United States just south of San Diego. Tijuana is Mexico's most populous city with a population of 1.9 million.
Zona Norte is a neighborhood known for drugs, prostitution and violence. In this neighborhood I am involved in two local organizations to share the Gospel there. We do this practically by supporting people's daily needs and providing a place and moments of rest. We also tell you about Jesus and what it means to follow Him. Our goal is to provide safety, care and attention to children, women and families in this neighbourhood.
