In the French city Marseille, where there is a lot of tension, Annejet feels called to bring God's love. Watch the video to get an impression:
In her mission Annejet focuses on 3 goals:
1. Being present where there is a need, seeing people and bringing them together.
Annejet contributes to more connection in the neighbourhood through cultural center FabricQuai, an initiative by her local church EPE Saint Just. Local residents from diverse backgrounds meet each other through coffee, meals and various activities. Through all activities, God becomes more visible in a place where this is desperately needed. The goal is to build relationships and make people interested in Jesus Christ through this community. In the same way Annejet wants to be a light in the streets of Marseille by paying attention to the people without a home, having meaningful conversations and providing food.
2. Contributing to the local church and encouraging fellow believers.
Annejet uses her creativity and communication skills to contribute to the needs of the local church. This can mean having a meaningful conversation with a young believer, but also creating a design for the interior of the church. And of course being a volunteer at FabricQuai to make the church visible in the neighbourhood.
3.Giving more colour to Marseille and encouraging creativity.
Annejet is convinced God made us creative beings after His image: all creation shows how He loves beauty and colour. This motivates her to use her artistic side to honor Him. This can mean painting murals in (prayer) rooms of Marseille, but also using creativity as a tool to get into touch with people from the neighborhood and help them not only to develop their artistic skills but also to process their experiences through art.
