Jaap-Jan and Miranda lived and worked in Russia and the Caucasus region with their two daughters from 2012 to 2020. There they were able to use their gifts and talents to support the translation work of God's word. They returned to the Netherlands in the summer of 2020.
Since 2021, Jaap-Jan has been working through iTeams NL for unfoldingWord, an organization that supports local churches around the world with "content, tools and training" in translating God's Word.
Miranda joined the iTeams office team in October 2023. In her role as an office manager she will support the office team with, among other things, financial administration and sending newsletters.

Mission Jaap-Jan:
I am committed to supporting the technical infrastructure at unfoldingWord so that local churches and organizations are able to translate the Bible for the edification of the Church.
iTeams: We desire that the Love of God transforms people and communities.
Mission Miranda:
I am wholeheartedly committed to iTeams, through practical and administrative support for the office team in the Netherlands and the workers worldwide.
