2023 has been an exciting year for us as International Teams Netherlands. We are currently in process with seven people to join iTeams Netherlands – two couples (with families) and three individuals. This is the most that we have received in one year and is incredibly encouraging. It has certainly stretched our office team but in a very positive and productive way.
Earlier this year we started with a couple preparing for service at the Diospi Suyana hospital in Peru. This was our first experience for workers in South America for quite some years and our second medical based workers. This family will leave for Peru in early January.
Since the summer, we have been in process with a woman who is now serving in Tijuana, Mexico with vulnerable women and children. Another applicant will be serving in Marseille, France with a community project run by a local French church. They run a café and creative workshops reaching a very disadvantaged, multi-cultural part of Marseille.
Finally, we are in process with a family serving in Shell, Ecuador in medical and church-based ministry. In addition, we are in process with a woman who is involved in church-based and mission support ministry in Salta, Argentina.
So by the beginning of next year, we will have four new locations in Latin America and three couples/families serving in medical mission.
We remain amazed at how God works and who God calls to mission. We are thankful for the part iTeams NL can play in God’s mission. Through your prayers and support more lives and communities are being impacted through the love of God.
